Ptarmigan Events (formerly Ptarmigan Treks) is a fiercely proud company founded in 2000, often rivaled but never beaten in quality of service and attention to detail. Ptarmigan is proud of its continued reputation of delivering high quality outdoor events with a promise of great customer satisfaction.

Our goal is to deliver that personal touch whatever the occasion no matter the size of event, so you, your clients and supporters couldn’t be in better hands!

Ptarmigan Events was brought about from our own passion of Scotland’s mountains and history… hopefully our enthusiasm of the outdoors will spread to everyone who takes time out to join us… Which we’re sure will bring you back for more!

Jim Wightman - Event Director

The founder and owner of Ptarmigan Events has been a keen outdoors man from a young age. A former Parachute Regiment and UKSF soldier, Jim loves to push his limits and seek out new challenges.

Andrea Wightman - Event Coordinator

Andrea started with Ptarmigan Events back in 2009, Initially on a part time basis as one of our event administrators. Now a partner in the company, she remains our full time Event Coordinator as well as managing our office based on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond!

Robbie Wightman - Logistic Support

As a vital part of the Ptarmigan Events team, Robbie works away in the background often unnoticed to help pull our events together. Son of the Event Director, Robbie has a real passion for the outdoors and can often be found out on the hills with his drone and camera. Always up for a new adventure, he often finds himself thrown in at the deep end to ‘Guinea pig’ our new challenge routes and loves a bit of sleep deprivation come event weekend!
